Its Officially Little League Football Season!

College Station is alittle different from Saginaw Football. In Saginaw the season started around August 19th and 1st game would be 1st week in September. You practiced four days a week from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Here we started on July 17th and will practice four days a week from 5:30 to 7:00pm, much better. His 1st game here will be August 26th.Football is very big in Texas as you know, no matter what city you live in.

The picture above is my little star himself Madman Mattie Myers (that is the name that the Coach gave him) We are so disappointed because Mattie has been #9 for five years now but he couldn't get that here so now he is # 22! If he isn't going to have #9 this is the next best thing. Afterall it is Emmitt Smith's famous #

School will be starting here August 15th so now that is on our minds. It will be here before I know it. My kiddos are going to run me out of money on school clothes not to mention the astronomically high cost of school supplies these days.. Anyone agree with me on that? And to add to that blasphemy the school wants you to replace those items in the middle of the school year! I am talking I spend about$150. for four kids on supplies!

Gotta Run to Practice Now!

George Bush Library and Kyle Field in the background, can you get any better than that?

Okay, I guess you can but I think my photography is great in this picture! We were driving by and I said look at that 'the library and kyle field together'-that would make a great pic.. Usually I pick a flavor for the week and that week it was photography! Okay I am over it now..

Things are great here..We are planning on driving to Fort Worth this weekend, yea! It is my niece's birthday and we are planning to party,Main Event style that is ; ) I am bringing her back home to the good town of College Station for a visit. There is so much to do in this town..

I have started two new medications this week, I am going to divulge a little here.. Normally I would not tell everyone that I am on these but I am in a great mood so why not? Okay here goes, Zelnorm for Irritable Bowel Syndrome you have probably seen the commercial. It works wonders for chronic constipation, I KNOW TMI (too much info)! You have to try this med if you are having this problem..
Okay the other is Effexor XR, it is a drug for depression and anxiety. I am taking this for a period of six months. I feel I need it for our transition of living in a rental while building our dream home. ON TOP of everything else going on in my life too. I have lived in some pretty bad homes while growing up so I can make do with the rental but its everything combined that is making it bad.
I will take any input or sharing on these if you want!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Not a flattering picture of me..
Okay, not everything is about me. I keep telling myself that but I can't seem to really accept it though! HeHe.
This is May 29th at our Helms Family Reunion in Cleburne,Texas.. It was great to see all the family again. And to those of you who didn't show up, shame shame everybody knows your name! HeHe..

Okay for all you Fathers out there, God Bless You! I gripe about Jeff but he knows that I am very thankful for all he does for his family. What do they say about men? You can't live with em' and you can't live with em' or do they say that about women?? HeHe.. Jeff is such a good Daddy and Husband, we love em' a whole bunch..

The picture of Jeff and Barron up top is in Brenham, Texas. They are at an antique store lounging around while Mama is shopping away..

My dad is in Weatherford, Texas with his family there. He remarried. I hope he is having a great day and that he is healthy. My step dad Richard is in Weatherford too. I hope he is doing great too. My father in law is MIA, he is supposed to be in Houston now but we haven't heard from him in awhile. I hope he is okay and well. I may have to go into Houston and hunt him down. Maybe he might be reading this? Call me! HeHe..Oh, he is a great man too. I miss him..

I just saw that movie 'The Break Up' with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. It was decent, wait for it to come out on video though.. I love anything with Vince Vaughn..I can't wait to see that new movie with Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon, I love them too. The name is Dupree. If you haven't rented End Of the Spear yet, do it now! It's a religious movie funded by Hobby Lobby. Jeff wanted us to see it and I was like ,No it will be another boring religious movie. OMG it was the best movie I have ever seen. It's very much worth seeing it. Your kids can see it too, ours did. It is also a true story. It's about these missionaries from the 50's that got speared, they were all over the news back then. You hafta see this movie...

To my honeybear,

Happy Father's Day and I Love You!

Go Mavericks!

I know its been awhile since I have posted..Sorry... I am going to be better about this, that is my new goal. Thats a pretty cheesy goal, I am not very goal oriented I guess..
We have had so many problems with our internet server since we have moved to College Station. I think we finally have it under control. I will be sending my new email address to everyone today as well. We have moved somewhat up in the world, we now have High Speed Internet thru the cable company..Ewwee arn't we special? HeHe

The pictures are from Brenham,Texas. For all of you out of towners, I can only hope that you have been as fortunate to have tasted BlueBell ice cream. They didn't have it when we lived in Indiana but they are branching out in the United States. Anyhoo, we went to the the factory in Brenham. This is also the town that my third son Mattie was born in. A very small town indeed. The factory is a must see while you are in Texas. It is only 45 minutes from College Station.

We are trying to plan a cost efficient vacation, do they actually exist? We have been fortunate to do alot of vacations thus far but this year is different we are building a house. Can you say POOR?? HeHe. I think we are going to stay at an ocean front hotel in Corpus Christi,Texas. I would rather be going two more hours south to Padre Island but Jeff says Nope. Has anyone been to either of these places? What was your experience? Please Share!

Sorry for any msp. words, spellcheck is not working on Blogger right now..

This is our lot in DuckHaven Estates..

I cannot wait to be moved onto our lot! This rental house is killin' me! We have a 1.28 acre lot, we are at the front of the lot in this picture. The trees are all ours! Pretty soon we will be doing some clearing out of brush and dead trees. DuckHaven is out on the outskirts of College Station but still considered College Station.. I am so excited about this weekend, they are having the Parade Of Homes here. We will get to see featured Builders, I think we have our Builder already but we are still going to look. I will post some pictures of the homes I will be so envious over! HaHa

Another topic now, do teenagers ever stop asking for money?? Back in the day I never (well sometimes) asked my parents for money. Occasionally is fine but it seems with my kids they are always wanting money and to go shopping! I have four boys!! NOT GIRLS! I thought it was girls that asked for $ and shopping all of the time?? Not with my boys, they are about style and keeping up with everyone. Now my third child Mattie could care less, he is all boy and he hates to shop. Maybe he will change but I doubt it.. I use to say that I didn't want my kids to work while they are teens but I am rethinking this now..

Amazing Race is in town doing casting calls for their show this weekend.. I considered Jeff and I trying out but I snapped back into reality! Jeff and I working as a team and getting along on a task?? HaHa, that is hilarious and it would be good TV watching it!

Okay gotta go now,

This is it! Our new temporary rental house! Yippee! Lol..
I will publish pictures of our lot that we bought sometime soon. We bought a one acre lot in DuckHaven Estates ( I will get ya'll the website so you can see the neighborhood), its a little out of College Station but still College Station ISD. We will start building this summer. Right now we are looking at Builders, etc. We are looking to build a custom home, not just goto a builder and they provide you with all of the items. We want our house customized.. Myers Style..HeHe I hate my rental house, imagine going from 2500 sq.ft to 1100 sq.ft! We are a bit cramped to say the least. I love College Station! This town is so great and family oriented. There is always something to do with the family here for free most of the time.. College guys aren't bad either, hehehe! I am sure Jeff could say the same about all of those College girls strutting, I mean jogging around town in their short-shorts! Ha! Everything here is very outdoorsy too, there is so much to do! Don't get me wrong I miss all of my family and friends but I don't miss Fort Worth..

I am so excited! The kids got a camp brochure for football camp this summer! Wow you say BUT this is Texas A&M Football camp! Its a weekend camp and the kids get to stay two nights at the campus in a dorm! It is coached by the A&M football coaches! They get to meet the football players! I tell you I am so excited and as you can tell I love football! They go June 11th to the 13th.. I will post pictures, not to worry!

Okay I gotta get, tomorrow is that dreaded TAKS test for three of my kiddos!

I have missed blogging, I will officially start to post all of the time again. Well that is until we move again...

Yes, we sold our house!
It is official, we are closing on our house on March 17th and have two days after that to get out.
: (
The packers pack us up on March 17th and we will leave on the 18th. I am very sad. Fort Worth is my hometown.. I seem to do great wherever we live but I just love Fort Worth! I guess I just have to make the best out of this! I am so going to miss everyone so much. I will keep posting on my Blog to keep everyone updated!
College Station is about 2 hours and forty-five minutes South of Ft.Worth. We will be 1 hour from Austin and an hour and a half from Houston. Jeff went to school at Texas A&M which is located in College Station. Hopefully at some point The Aggies will have a winning team : )

Has anyone heard about the breakup of Travis Stork and Sarah Stone? I am talking about The Bachelor Travis! I just love him but I am very mad about this break up, I hope its all rumor only!

Tonight is the Academy Awards, I will watch alot of it but not all b/c these actors and actresses are all too liberal for me with their opinions.

Time to go! Will post tomorrow about the house plans for College Station...
